SAFE SWIMMING AREA OFF EASTNEY BEACH

  1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the Queens Harbour Master Portsmouth, that a Safe Swimming Area has been established off Eastney Beach.
  2. The area is bounded by four unlit yellow spherical floats approximately 100 metres off shore running Easterly from 50 46.8N - 001 03.65W to 50 46.85N – 001 03.5W
  3. Mariners are advised that this measure has been introduced to reduce the risk of casualties between the many swimmers and small craft which use the area for leisure activities. Mariners are reminded of the importance of remaining to seaward of the swim area, maintaining a good all round lookout at all times and, proceeding at a speed consistent with safe navigation.
